Beanitos Review

Beanitos was generous to send me a case of their chips which contained four flavors to try.
These chips are corn free, gluten free, and high in fiber.

In addition to being a nutritionally superior snack, Beanitos are verified through the Non-GMO project ( This means we take specific steps to minimize the possible introduction of any ingredients that have been bioengineered (genetically modified). We think it is the right thing to do: for our bodies and our planet.

Beanitos are lab tested and certified to be low glycemic! Beanitos Black Bean Chips have a GI (glycemic index) of 33 and GL (glycemic load) of 3. Beanitos Pinto Bean and Flax Chips have a GI of 44 and a GL of 4. Beanitos Chipotle BBQ have a GI of 42 and a GL of 4. Beanitos Cheddar Cheese have a GI of 43 and a GL of 4. Those other guys who make corn and potato chips don’t bother to test, because they know their chips aren’t low glycemic!

Whole pinto beans/flaxseeds/grain rice (brown &/or long grain white), vegetable oil(canola, sunflower or safflower), cheese powder(cheddar cheese (milk, salt, cheese cultures, enzymes, whey, buttermilk, salt, disodium phosphate), cheese powder(romano cheese(part skim milk, cheese culture, salt, enzymes), disodium phosphate, potassium chloride, onion & tomato powder., spices, yeast extract, garlic powder, paprika, salt, citric acid, lactic acid, capsicum, silicon dioxide(anti caking), guar bean gum

    The 4 Flavors:-

Beanitos Black Bean Chips in Chipotle BBQ: Hot and spicy .
Beanitos Black Bean Chips: Crispy with just enough salt.
Beanitos Pinto Bean & Flax Chips: Crispy with more cracker taste. Lightly salted.
Beanitos Pinto Bean & Flax Chips in Cheddar Cheese: Spicy and a cheese flavor.

    My Thoughts:

When I first tasted these I was ready to toss them but I kept going – trying all flavors.
They are not to bad really, I guess they can grow on you. But I did not care for these.

No one in my family really cared for them much. But I have one son that said he could eat them, they weren’t to bad for him. He mostly said they could use more flavor.
I would imagine they are an acquired taste and if you’re a bean lover these would be ideal for you.
The flavors were just to overpowering for us. But they are healthy and loaded with fiber. What I really like is, they are very low in sodium and high in potassium and with having high blood pressure this would be an ideal food.
Remember this is just our opinion and you should really try them for yourself. So many others love them.

Head over to Beanitos and check out where you can find some in a store near you

I received the above products through Sublime Media Connection in exchange for an honest review. In no way was I asked to give a positive review.
I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product free of cost for review purposes. The opinions are here are my own. [Mary~CountryLife4Me]
